Quo Primum tempore

Session of the Council of Trent, box Tiziano .

Quo Primum tempore (in Castilian , from the beginning) is the name of an Apostolic Constitution in the form of a papal bull issued by St. Pius V on July 14 of 1570 . It was enacted with the 1570 edition of the Roman Missal , and its use mandatory throughout the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church , except when there was a different custom in a Mass particular of at least two hundred years old held continuously.

Features

The aim of the bull was to strengthen the canons and decrees of the Council of Trent , which abolished the Mass, prayers that have been added through the years, though well intentioned, however, gives local intentions. Thus standardizing the rite throughout the West.

It is a very important papal document dealing with the subject of the Roman liturgy, beginning, life and foundation of the Roman Catholic Church. And that says a lot of detail to any position you have taken the Catholic Church after venturing to the reform of the liturgy after Vatican II .
